Street campaign : Christmas card mail
As part of the “this christmas - churches at the Christmas market” event, visitors had the opportunity to spontaneously send Christmas mail.

On December 20, 2025, the ecumenical team from the Catholic city parish, the Fulda City Pastoral Office, and the Protestant congregations of the Fulda-Mitte cooperation area organized a special event at the Fulda Christmas market. Visitors had the opportunity to write personal Christmas cards on site and send them directly.
The stand not only offered an opportunity for reflection and contemplation, but also fostered a sense of community and warmth during the Advent season. A dedicated team took care of the immediate franking and mailing of the cards, creating a special surprise for the recipients.
This heartwarming event concludes the ecumenical program for this year. The organizers look forward to the upcoming Christmas festivities and wish everyone a blessed holiday season.
This Christmas - Churches at the Christmas Market
The ecumenical activities at the Fulda Christmas market aim to encourage people to pause and reflect amidst the festive bustle. Through small, meaningful gestures, the Catholic city parish, the Fulda city pastoral care team, and the Protestant congregations of the Fulda-Mitte cooperation area create shared experiences that foster a spirit of community.
These events offer a space for peace and reflection, where visitors have the opportunity to contemplate the central values of Christmas: love, peace, and hope. By bringing together people from diverse backgrounds, a sense of solidarity and togetherness is strengthened, which is invaluable, especially in today's individualistic society.
Ecumenical cooperation underscores the openness and inclusivity of the Church by inviting all people, regardless of their religious background, to become part of this shared experience. Such initiatives not only connect people with one another, but also with the deeper spiritual meaning of the Christmas season.
Overall, the activities not only offer a moment of reflection, but also promote dialogue, community and charity – core values that define the essence of Christmas.
